Raw Broccoli - Cabbage Slash Bladder Cancer Risk by 40 Percent

Eating as little as three small servings of raw cruciferous vegetables per month, such as broccoli and cabbage, has been found to decrease the risk of developing bladder cancer by an astonishing 40 percent. This was discovered by researchers from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. The study is only one of several that have recently added to the evidence that raw fruits and vegetables dramatically lower cancer risk.

Cruciferous vegetables, also known as vegetables in the mustard or cabbage family, are some of the most widely consumed vegetables in the world, accounting for 10 of the most popular vegetable foods. The family includes not only cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower, but also arugula, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, daikon, garden cress, horseradish, kale, kohlrabi, mustard, radish, rape (canola), rapini, rutabaga, tatsoi, turnip, wasabi and watercress. These vegetables are known to be high in important nutrients such as vitamin C and selenium, and they also contain hundreds of plant compounds that are known to fight cancer. One of these groups, isothiocyanates, has gained enormous attention over the last few years as an anti-cancer “medicine” provided by foods.

The FDA, curiously, wants to pass regulations that would secretly irradiate the national food supply without any requirement whatsoever that such treatment be mentioned on the label of irradiated foods….Why is that an important goal for the FDA? Because fresh produce is just about the only thing keeping many Americans off pharmaceuticals and out of the hospital. Take away the natural medicine found in fresh produce, and you create a windfall of sickness and disease that doubles or triples the profits of the drug companies. Food irradiation is the FDA’s devious plan to sicken the U.S. population and accomplish this financial goal for influential drug companies.

Hopefully such a law will never be passed. What is the point, how much more money does big pharma want to make? I hope this doesn’t spread to the UK. Would organic produce be irradiated too? Obviously things in the USA are going a bit haywire, lets just hope the madness doesn’t spread.

Autism is increasing at an alarming rate in Wisconsin, as it is in the rest of the country. Today an estimated one out of 150 children nationally receive the diagnosis, up from 1 in 1,000 a couple of decades ago. That is more than have Down syndrome, juvenile diabetes and cancer combined, according to Kathryn Luttkus, grants manager of Easter Seals of Southeastern Wisconsin. The disease has emerged as such an urgent health issue that Easter Seals has replaced polio, its famous poster cause, with autism.

In the 2004-05 school year, 4,361 (0.44 percent) of Wisconsin’s students received special education services for autism — double the number in 2000. Experts debate whether the increase is a genuine epidemic, or the result of a broader and better system for diagnoses. Wisconsin is one of 11 states participating in a study by the Centers for Disease Control that might answer that question. The study could resolve the mystery over whether autism is caused by genetics, the environment, or both.

‘Experts debate whether the increase is a genuine epidemic, or the result of a broader and better system for diagnoses.’ I personally believe that the increase is down to way too many, unnecessary vaccines being administered into tiny bodies that just don’t need them. I cant believe the ‘experts’ have to debate on why there is an increase. Of course, there may be genuine cases of autism that are not linked to vaccines, but there have been so many studies, essays, articles etc that indicate that there is a link to vaccines. But then, big pharma and those who profit through damaging our children will always deny it saying the risks of vaccines far outweigh the risks of catching a disease. Bullshit. Also, there are countless people in the medical field who say that vaccines are not necessary and can cause long lasting physical and mental problems. Obviously their work is shunted by those wishing to profit in the lives of others. How inhumane. below are just a few links to point you in the righ direction, just how deep does the rabbit hole go…

Tamiflu Vaccine Linked With Convulsions, Delirium and Bizarre Deaths

An FDA advisory panel has recommended stronger warnings on two influenza drugs after reviewing evidence linking them to neurological and psychiatric problems that have led to deaths in some cases.

The current warning on Roche Laboratories’ Tamiflu (generic name oseltamivir) urges close monitoring of flu patients, particularly children, for “increased risk of self injury and confusion shortly after taking Tamiflu.” The panel recommended that this warning be strengthened to say that “in some cases, these behaviors resulted in serious injuries, including death, in adult and pediatric patients.”

The label of Glaxo SmithKline’s Relenza (generic name zanamivir), the panel said, should be strengthened to mention “reports of hallucinations, delirium and abnormal behavior.” The panel said that both labels should mention that some flu patients not taking the drugs have also experienced such symptoms.
