I was prescribed over the phone despite insisting I had not had anything like flu symptoms, just a bad headache and back pain the day before. On taking Tamiflu, I immediately got very vivid dream state while I was awake. The next morning my entire spine had swelled up and when I moved it felt like all my spinal nerves had stuck together. I Then lost feeling all over my back, all while having massive heart palpitations, burning feet and feeling very scared. My husband spent hours trying to phone the heart doctor at Bournemouth Hospital, but just got brushed off and no one phoned back. The same at the GP, although they did eventually phone back and told me not to take anymore. But it was now day 4 and I only had one tablet left. I had lost control of my bowels and muscles in my bottom would not work. I have eventually regained most of the feeling in my back and my bowel control and muscles, but have a large numb patch over my back. It has been 9 months. I had no acknowledgement or any explanation or any investigation. I was totally ignored by everyone in the NHS. Recently I was offered the swine flu vaccination.. What do you think I said?
